1. Visa is mandatory to visit India. You can demand for visa from Indian embassy or Indian High Commission situated in your country

2. Money: Indian currency is Indian Rupees. 1 USD is equal to 48 INR and 1 Pound is equal to 72 INR (subject to change according rate of exchange). You can easily exchange your currencies or travellers cheques in Exchange offices like Western Union, LKP Forex or in Nationalised banks like SBI, State bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Punjab National Bank etc.


3. Vaccinations: There are not any vaccinations mandatory to visit India, however be updated with the vaccines for Hepatitis-B & A, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Typhoid.


4. ATMs: There are ATM machines all over the country in every city where you can withdraw money from your master or visa cards easily.


5. Best period to Visit India: October till end April is best to visit Western, Eastern, Central and south India, however for North of India "The himalyan region best season to visit is from April - December.

6. To chose a type of travel:
A. You can simply buy a flight ticket to visit India and arrange for hotels or Transport on arrival, but in the high season its really very difficult to get accommodations, and to travel in local transport is very hassle full and not always very comfortable.
