Destinations : Manali / Leh
Day 1: Manali – Keylong
After good breakfast, we ride towards Keylong, crossing over the Rohtang Pass about 4000 mts, which remain snow capped for most of the time, and as we cross this snow Giant, we move towards lahaul valley and have a stop at Darcha for entering passports at Army camp. After lunch, we proceed towards Keylong, which is a small town, and capital of region of Lahaul and spiti. – night in Keylong.
Day 2: Keylong – Sarchu
Morning after breakfast, we have a long and tiring ride, and we have mighty pass Baralacha la to cross, below which rivers Chandra and Bhaga meets and forms beautiful lake of Chandratal. The views are really beautiful and will remain forever in the memories. From here we run down towards Sarchu for night camping – and have our dinner in tent.
Day 3: Sarchu – Rumtse
After breakfast, we move towards Lachung la and arrive in Moray plains, a desert surrounded by Himalayas. Soon we come across another snow Giant – Tanglang La about 5300 mtrs, and after crossing this last pass, we come to valley and have night stay in Rumtse.
Day 4: Rumste – Leh
After breakfast, we have a ride along the Indus river, and arrive in Leh, bypassing some beautiful monasteries. Hotel check in, and then rest for the day for acclimitisation. – night in Leh
Day 5: Leh
After breakfast, we leave our bikes for maintenance, and have first sight of leh and visit some beautiful monasteries of Shey and Thiksey and have evening at Shanti Stupa. Evening at Leh market – night in Leh
Day 6: Leh – Lamayuru – Leh
After breakfast, Road to Lamayuru, one of the ancient monasteries in Ladakh. This is small village and we come back by evening to Leh. – night in Leh
Day 7: Leh – Pang Gong Lake
After breakfast, we ride towards Pangong Lake, which is about ¾ in India, and ¼ in China. We cross mighty Chang La at 17,355 ft, and have overnight camping near the lake. – night in Camp
Day 8: Pang Gong Lake – Nubra – Diskit
After breakfast, we head towards Nubra valley famous for its cold desert and double humped Bactrian camels found in Central asia. After lunch, we can go for camel ride, and then night in our hotel at nearby village in Diskit – night in Diskit
Day 9: Nubra Valley – Leh
After breakfast, we head towards Leh, crossing Khardung la – highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft. We have a black tea session and can have Maggi noodles in the highest cafeteria of the world. After this small break, we again start descending towards leh, and in about 3 hrs we reach leh for night stay.
Day 10: Leh – Hemis monastery
After breakfast, we move towards Hemis monastery, which is one of the most important Buddhist monastery of the region, and it has a beautiful and informative museum also which displas some of the most preserved artifacts of Ladakh.
Day 11: Leh – Delhi
After breakfast, onboard flight to delhi, and arrival in delhi and have lunch. Then we have visit of Qutub complex. – night stay in delhi Flight from Leh to Delhi. An early morning flight for 1.30 hrs should have you back in Delhi by Lunch. One night stay in Delhi.
